With memories fresh the boys gathered for their Victoria Home Coming last Friday. Good eats and treats were shared accompanied by plenty of laughter. Before the boys parted for summer family vacations, camps and more travels a special message was sent to Doug and Tami still wandering around overseas and enjoying the quiet and fresh smells I am sure!

All on Schedule
I will be away form the computer for the rest of the afternoon so this will be the last Blog update on arrivals. All looks good for a 4:30pm arrival at Swartz Bay. If there is a change you will be contacted via the phone tree.
PS - It won't stop here! Please be sure to keep checking this Blog as new photos from the trip are posted and hopefully we hear from Tami & Doug on their continuing adventure!
They've Arrived!
Looks like the boys have touched down at YVR in Vancouver - Thomas Cook Airlines Flt. TCX85 arrived 11:59 at Gate D73. Will update you on ferry plans but all appears to be on schedule.
Winging Their Way Home
The boys are in the air and all looks well. AirTransat Flight 899 departed Glasgow at 9:25am and is estimated to arrive in Calgary a little early at 10:17am. Will update again after they depart Calgary. Have a great day!

Parting Thoughts from Mark
Parents, Brothers. Sisters, Grandparents, and Fans of CW U-14 Rugby.
We seemed to have made it uninjured and unscathed. This morning at 09:00 team staff and parent supporters climbed aboard the Green Hornet and departed Fawlty Towers (Peebles Style) for Peebles High School to pick up our weary soldiers. Last night in Rob Roy fashion the lads partied in to the wee hours with such accompaniment as the proclaimers, Rod Stewart, Annie Lennox and Snow Patrol. Prior to leaving the boys last night we all tried to guess who would be the first to understand the bartender at the Rugby Club. All I know is that when he wanted our attention he yelled "hey Jimmy". The rest may have well been Kurdish as far as we could tell.
Peebles is a picturesque town. One of the prettiest towns I have ever been to. It is the epitome of what you think a Scottish Town with Glen and castle should look like. Fly fishing in the river, Stag hunting in the hills and lots of Iron Bru for Kieran.
The lads were treated like Bonnie Prince Charlie during their stay in Peebles. They had their laundry done an folded and lunch bags packed for a day of sightseeing in Glasgow. That was a joke, there are no sights in Glasgow. But we went to Glasgow never the less and had a good time just as planned. After some last minute shopping (sorry Jean and Ian) we made our way back to the hotel. We are near the Airport and in a great position for take off tomorrow.
We all had dinner at the hotel and it was actually very good in deed. We transitioned from there to a hotel meeting room for our Tour Court to convene with Mr. Tate as Crown Prosecutor, Mr. Catto as Judge and Mr. Allabarton as Bailiff. Each member of the tour heard the charges put forth to them by the prosecution. They were able to quickly ponder the charges and plead guilty or not guilty. Some stood fast as not guilty however their defense was so weak they may as well have just thrown themselves on the mercy of the court from the get go.
Some of the punishments found CW men free style rapping or dancing in front of the court gallery. I must say it was a fantastic way to end the trip and further the bond between the boys and their teammates. As I write this blog I look to the top of my computer to see that the clock has struck 23:00 and we are to be up at 05:00. We still have to do room checks and make sure all packing is taken care of. Doug, Mike and I will need a holiday to recover from this when we return. But this I wish to make very plain. We would not have missed this for the world. It was our distinct pleasure to be associated to your boys. CW can rest assured that 21 gentlemen are amongst their ranks.
Well done lads!
Mark
Returning Home
Just a quick note to let you know I will be monitoring the return flight. If all is on time the boys will be on the 15:00 ferry to Schwartz Bay, ETA 16:30.
